    2013 Vintage

    Our first impressions

Because of the capricious climate, 2013 represented a risky vintage. Fortunately, we were able to rely on the warm calm spell on our terroir during August. The veins of clay helped to regulate the humidity and allowed waiting until maturity before picking.

On tasting, this vintage shows softness and fruit. These qualities will make it suitable for early drinking.

    2012 Vintage

    Our first impressions

The 2012 winegrowing season was characterized by rather severe weather conditions that required a great deal of vigilance in the vineyard.
A cold, rainy spring, followed by a particularly dry summer, slowed down the vines' growth cycle, resulting in uneven ripening.
We waited until the first week of October to start the harvest. Despite some rain in October, the vineyard remained in good health throughout the harvest period.

2012 was, however, a complicated, unusual year, a typical winegrower's vintage. The choices made by vineyard owners were more important than ever. 2012 was often kinder to the Merlot than the Cabernet Sauvignon, which explains its high proportion in our final blends compared to recent vintages.
